[Minneapolis--Sept. 27, 2020] Project Veritas investigators revealed a ballot harvesting scheme here involving clan and political allies and associates of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D.-Minn.) in the first of a series of reports.

Ilhan Abdullahi Omar of Minnesota and Rashida Harbi Tlaib of Michigan will be the first two Muslim women ever to serve in the US Congress. Most of the media coverage since their election on November 6 has been effusive in praise of their Muslim identity and personal history.
Less known is that both women deceived voters about their positions on Israel. Both women, at some point during their rise in electoral politics, led voters — especially Jewish voters — to believe that they held moderate views on Israel. After being elected, both women reversed their positions and now say they are committed to sanctioning the Jewish state.

Details about Ilhan Omar’s father’s military service were crystallized after his untimely death last year.
The congresswoman’s father, Nur Omar Mohamed, served as a colonel in Mohamed Siad Barre’s military. Barre was a genocidal Marxist dictator, ruling Somalia via military force for 22 years.
It is unknown if Nur Omar Mohamed personally participated in any of the Barre regime’s war crimes or genocidal massacres. However, it is reported he “played a significant role” leading the dictator’s troops.
Omar’s family fled Somalia as revolutionaries overthrew the Barre regime. She says their escape was possible due to contacts her grandfather had; he was also a high-ranking official in the Marxist dictatorship.

Barre came to power in Somalia in 1969, instituting a program of “scientific socialism” under dictatorial, militaristic one-party rule with the support of the Soviet Union. Omar’s father was part of Barre’s military. He joined after traveling to the USSR to receive a military education in the communist state, Sahan Journal reports.
During his rule, Barre used the military that Omar’s father helped lead to rape, terrorize and pillage his own countrymen. He eventually committed a genocide of the Isaaq people, killing as many as 200,000 civilians in the late 1980s.
If Rep. Ilhan Omar wants white Americans to apologize for the sins of their ancestors, she should be transparent about her father’s apparent leadership role inside a genocidal Marxist regime.

Minneapolis, MN – U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota) told a Minneapolis town hall meeting on Saturday night that the skyrocketing violent crime in the city should be blamed on the Minneapolis police.
The meeting was held on Oct. 23 at Omar’s alma mater, Edison High School, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
She reiterated her support for a Minneapolis City Charter amendment that advocates of abolishing the Minneapolis police want to see put on the November ballot.

It therefore came a surprise when Omar brushed off blatant violations of due process and said the U.S. should not help the hero of Hotel Rwanda Paul Rusesabagina merely because he had been accused of a crime by a totalitarian regime well-known for assassinating and jailing its critics….
The regime’s 2020 kidnapping of their most prominent critic, Paul Rusesabagina, was a bit of a test: How much can they get away with? Can they silence a critic who happens to be a U.S. lawful permanent resident and a winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom? If they can get away with this, imagine what they can do – and have done – to humble people without such standing.
Omar’s position on Rusesabagina comes with domestic complications, threatening to throw her entire stance on the U.S. criminal justice system into a light of hypocrisy. Is she saying that police abuses not acceptable in America are okay so long as they are carried out in Africa?
What is clear is that she can’t have it both ways. She can’t be a human rights champion while carrying the water of a brutal human rights abuser.

I had a junior high social studies teacher who was fond of saying that if it reached its logical conclusion, liberalism would eventually become fascism. He was long dead before Ilhan Omar hit the scene, but he would be gratified to see his prediction in action.
Omar’s Combating International Islamophobia Act passed the House of Representatives on a narrow party line vote recently. If it becomes law, it will mandate a new State Department bureaucracy to report on anti-Islamic activity as a human rights violation. English is Omar’s second language, and the wording of the bill shows it. Its definition of Islamophobia is not precise. An example of the text includes “acts of physical violence against, or harassment of, Muslim people, and acts of violence against, or vandalism of, Muslim community institutions, including schools, mosques, and cemeteries, and instances of propaganda in government and nongovernment media that attempt to justify or promote racial hatred or incite acts of violence against Muslim people.”
This is broad enough to drive a truck through. Consequently, a zealot in the proposed State Department office could brand anyone who criticizes Hamas or Hezbollah as a human rights–abusing Islamophobe. But perhaps I’m wrong. Omar has shown a fondness for both organizations, and perhaps that is her actual agenda. Predictably, the White House is all in on the idea.

Omar made her comments while speaking at a town hall. She countered the rhetoric of President Trump and his supporters, disputing characterization of current migration levels as an “invasion.”
“What we face is not an invasion,” Omar said. “This is not an invasion, it’s an immigration crisis.”
